We’ve all been looking forward to the start of some restrained festive socialising and the chance to get out again and do the things we’ve been missing.
Sadly, that won’t include a mince pie and a pre-Christmas float with us as we will not be reopening Float UK this year.
Float UK does not own the float centre barn and the landlord had been dropping hints that he did not want to renew our lease when it expires at the end of December.
We’ve therefore spent the last couple of months scouting for potential new sites for a float centre – just in case – and finally received confirmation during lockdown that Float UK will indeed need to move out.
With such short notice, we will unfortunately have to remain closed throughout December, in order to save as much as possible from the building and get everything out in time.
The good news is that we’ve found a couple of really attractive options, both still in Hertfordshire, and (fingers crossed) we’ll be able to give you some firm info before Christmas.
The not-so-good-news is that neither would be ready to open for floating until around March next year so you will have nowhere to float until the spring.
It’s a big ask but we hope that you will bear with us during the few months of down-time and we’ll obviously keep you updated on progress. Those of you with outstanding pre-paid float sessions or Float UK gift vouchers will be able to use these at the new centre. You can of course request a refund at any time (details below).
This is a hard time for any business and we really appreciate the love and support you’ve shown for Float UK over the last few years and particularly this year.
Hopefully better times are just around the corner so watch this space!
BOOKINGS, VOUCHERS, REFUNDS
You can still book float packages and purchase gift cards if you don’t mind the ‘mystery location’ aspect and are OK with waiting until next year to use them!
If you’d prefer to have a refund on anything now and re-book when we’re more settled, please see below.
I have pre-paid float session(s)
Email with booking confirmation or receipt if possible. If you don’t have either, we can check our records to see how many unused sessions you have.
I have a Float UK gift card
Email with the receipt or a photo of the gift card if possible. If you were given a gift card, then the person who bought it will need to contact us for a refund.
I have a Groupon voucher
Whether you have a Groupon voucher that you never got to use or a Groupon float session booked with us that we now can’t offer, you will need to contact Groupon Customer Support direct for a refund: call 020 3808 4038 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
